ERRORE CWLAA9084 IN FASE D'INSTALLAZIONE DI ISC E ADMIN-CENTER

In fase di re-installazione della isc Integrate solution consolle
di tivoli storage manager, l'errore in oggetto è frequente.

In questo caso è necessario seguire la procedura passo passo,
per la corretta disinstallazione del prodotto e successivamente
procedere ad una nuova installazione.

1. First attempt to run the uninstaller.bat located in \_iscuninst

2. Check the Windows Services for the following two services. If they are there and are running, stop them:

IBM WebSphere Application Server V6 - ISC 6.0.1 Runtime Service
ISC 6.0.1 Help Service

3. Check the Task Manager for a java.exe process that is running, using around 200MB-300MB. If the ISC is the only java application that runs on this machine, end the process (if there is one running).
4. remove the ISC from the Windows Services (if they were there) by issuing the following commands:

sc delete "IBMWAS6Service - ISC 6.0.1 Runtime Service"
sc delete "ISC 6.0.1 Help Service"

5. delete the ISC601 directory and all its subdirs
6. delete all ISC*, ismp*, isj*, Portal* files/dirs in the temporary directory (this could be C:\temp, C:\WINDOWS\temp, or a dir specified in the users PATH).
7. check and unset any of the following environment variables if they point to an ISC dir. Use the 'set' command to list the environment variables and use 'set ENV_VAR=' (specify the variable and do not specify anything after the equals sign) to unset the variable:

ISC_HOME
WAS_HOME
JAVA_HOME

8. check the vpd.properties file located in C:\Windows and make sure it is clean of ISC entries

The ISC has now been manually uninstalled.

Another ISC install can now be attempted. If errors are still seen, please contact IBM TSM Support.

Attenzione Operatore : E-Series ( as400 )

Non se vi è mai capitato ... A volte accade che sul pannello dell'AS400 appare il simbolo di " attenzione operatore ". Apparentemente il problema non riguarda, alimentazione, cassette di pulizia o altro, e il display normalmente, segna 01 BN.

In questo caso si puo' tentare al reset dell'attenzione operatore sul display , entrando nell' SST , con il comando STRSST e provando il reset dell'impostazione di " attenzione operatore ".

Questi i passagi e le fasi per il reset :

-STRSST

- 1

- 7

- 6

- Completare intervallo date

- Chiudere voci "new" (opz. 8)
e dare INVIO

- F6

- F10

Convertire un server reale in un server virtuale

E' possibile trasformare un server reale Linux in un server virtuale in maniera molto semplice. E' sufficiente spegnere il server reale e riavviarlo con il CD-ROM di installazione di XenServer al suo interno. All'avvio si deve scegliere l'opzione P2V . In questo modo il filesystem sarà traferito tramite rete verso un server Xen Server. Loperazione richiede pero' un processore moderno con supporto possibilmente 64 bit. Per server datati sarà probabilmente necessario spostare l'hard disk in una macchina piu' recente.

LA medesima procedura puo' essere utilizzata per convertire server reali di qualsiasi valore di sistema operativo e hardware possibile. A tal proposito si utilizza un software che si chiama " VmWare could ". I passaggi sono i medesimi: si inserisce il cd-rom a server spento. Poi lo si accende e nel wizard di conversione, l'immagine puo' essere convertita direttamente su una sorgente esterna, anche un disco USB. La possibilità inoltre di poter definire manualmente le dimensioni del disco fisso ( a valori anche molto maggiori rispetto la macchina reale) della macchina convertita, ne fanno uno strumento eccezionale.
